HIS VOICE
MOVEMENT
Standing Tall
Men possess valuable perspectives that are often underrepresented. We believe this should change, as it is important for men to share their experiences for the benefit of future generations. Sharing these stories fosters a sense of connection, reminding individuals that they are not alone and that others have faced similar challenges and prevailed. The following three contributors are the inaugural members of the His Voice Movement, and through their chapters, they exemplify resilience and leadership.
Steven
DuBose
"Mental health is a REAL thing. I've always looked at life this way: you never know what someone is going through because they'll tell you they're okay when, deep down, that isn't true. This is especially true for most men because we're expected to be the strong ones. Just because we're men doesn't mean we don't battle things. We're allowed to have emotions and bad days. We're providers, absolutely, but we can't be providers and protectors if we don't take care of our mental health.
Say what you need to say to be a better man for your family. You're not alone. Today, I'm standing tall, and my story is still being written."
